I’m not going to post any terrible spoilers or anything.

Since I’m off today, as soon as I got the kids to school, I threw on Season-2 of Formula-1: Drive to Survive on Netflix. I was a huge fan of the first season and really loved how they brought out so many of the great story-lines that happened in the midfield.

Unlike last season, the camera-crews had access to the entire field and of course the big-three, Mercedes, Ferrari, and Red Bull took up a good chunk of the episodes. But, with as much that happened with their teams , I wholeheartedly expected as much.

That said, this season was just as good as the first one. They really did a great job of hitting pretty much every notable story-line and every bit of drama from the 2019 season.  My only gripe was that my favorite driver had virtually zero air-time.

So, even if you are just a casual F1 fan and are looking from something to watch, I’d totally recommend it.

I just finished the first episode - I found it funny that they used clips where Lewis and Toto couldn’t recall the full, proper name of their own team; Valtteri steps in with the full “Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport” to set the record straight.

It seems like we both need more episodes since it’s still two weeks until the Australian GP...

I have to say, I’m not a big Hamilton fan but they put him in a light that makes me like him a bit more now. I think that’s what i love so much about the series is how much of the behind the scenes co mradery and friendship their is within the sport that you generally don’t see in a race broadcast.

And as for me, I’ve been doing lap after lap of f1 2019 on  my simulator in the basement of Barcelona ‘imitating’ f1 testing. I’ll be switching over to Albert Park soon enough!

Didn’t even know season 2 was out, can’t wait to check it out! Perfect timing too since I just finished watching Sex Education on Netflix (anyone else love the retro cars on that show for being based in present times ?!)

It just came out today.  I just decided to spend my day binging it and I’m happy I did.

That was a great episode!  I’m still shocked that Grosjean and Magnussen are still a part of that team.  I hope their commitment pays off and they are in the battle again.  Based on testing, it looks like they might battle more points but Mclaren, Racing Point and Renault still seem to be a bit ahead of Haas, Alfa, Williams, and Alpha Tauri.
